A tough read

This was a difficult book to read and sometimes unpleasant. If you have had your heart broken when a relationship went sour than I don't know if I would recommend this book if you are still in the throws of that pain.
But then again...
What this author does is breaks emotions down so that you can get a grasp of the reasons behind actions. It is not so much a justification, but more of a different perspective.
My dilemma as a reviewer is the star rating. I would give it two for choice of topic (although it is called a romance), but as a study in human nature I would give it four.
One thing that really irked me, I must say, is the devaluation of pride. If you have had your heart broken the only thing that keeps your head high is if you haven't lost your pride by doing or saying something foolish, or by being magnanimous.

Definitely worth a read

Engaging but different from an outstanding author. KG spins a unusual story of two women with very different past relationship experiences. I found this book engaging because you know with KG there's always something more to uncover. I learned you can't judge people unless you're standing their shoes and sometimes you need to "pan the camera" and look what's happening on the sidelines.

This book is definitely worth a read!!

I'm a big fan of KG MacGregor and this book didn't disappoint. I liked both characters, found them both very real and true to life, but I also felt the characters acted older than what was portrayed. Otherwise I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to all who likes romances

The author passionately shares, parent to parent, the collection of natural approaches she found very effective with her own child. The process of healing the digestive system, clearing toxins from the body and supporting the wisdom of every cell with targeted nutrition is essential. Supporting the innate ability of the body to heal and repair, without causing additional toxicity and side effects, is the most powerful medicine available.

With so much information out there, author Karen Thomas provides good advice on some of the best alternative approaches out there to help parents make more informed decisions. Since each individual is different and unique, your best bet is to become as informed as possible about what's out there and then work with a professional such as a developmental pediatrician, certified integrative medicine practitioner, special needs nutritionist or other highly experienced clinician who can assess YOUR child's individual needs and make personalized interventions.

Deeply relevant to seasoned counselors and therapists as well as students, this book not only provides practical instruction, but philosophically astute expositions of what values are, their central role in human life, and how the values clarification process can be applied with multicultural sensitivity to diverse populations. It is highly recommended for anyone who practices counseling or psychotherapy.
